Business travel faces an 'Age of Austerity', but smart business will cut costs, not quality
Business travel is facing a very tough year in 2009, with a new report by Travelmole.com suggesting that 63% of companies will be looking for ways to reduce their travel expenditure by driving down costs - cutting lavish hotels and unwanted extras, whilst securing the best rates from its accommodation providers. Many accommodation providers charge extortionate rates for extras such as broadband, knowing that 3 in 4 travellers can't do without internet connectivity.
"Internet connectivity is indispensable to more business travellers (76% of respondents) than a quiet room (56%), good transport links (54%) or central location (52%)"
In response to this, SACO has bucked the trend and introduced free broadband on new bookings in its key business destinations until 30/04/09, in addition to constantly lowering our rates - enabling us to offer most cost effective business accommodation, with rates from as little as £69 in London including free broadband!
